IO3 - In Service Training Programme
In-service Training Programme for VET Tutors
The In-service Training Programme for VET Tutors addresses adult educators, guidance workers, employment officers, etc. and comprises 40-hours of induction materials for front-line workers. The Training materials are developed to introduce the new remote working resources and to identify and explain the new approaches required to effectively use and integrate the new key tools into everyday career support activities. The emphasis of this part of the In-service Training Programme is to ensure that VET Tutors, employers, business leaders and employees are aware of the new resources developed and are confident in using them to support users in their remote working endeavours.
In-service Training Programme provides up-to-date learning materials on emerging trends in the European labour market, such as the digitization and automation of some work tasks; advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence, etc. It is important that front-line VET tutors are aware of these emerging trends so that they are informed and able to provide accurate guidance to employers and employees on how they can future-proof their careers remotely. As such, the In-service Training Programme also includes simple case studies on how remote working has worked successfully in the past for many businesses and employees. Working with the research control groups, partners will present induction materials for sampling and validation before including them in the final training material.
The process examines new online remote working environments and explores the different roles of educators and support workers in these environments. The proposed new self-directed remote working toolkit will potentially bring a wide range of new remote educational environments into the learning process and partners need to ensure that all educators and tutors are comfortable working with the new resources in non-traditional learning environments.
